Add flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and coconut sugar to a bowl.
Add in milk, vanilla and egg or applesauce and fold in apples.
Form batter into small fritters and place in pan generously coated with oil.
Cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side, or until crispy on the outside.
While the fritters are cooking, make the icing by combining dates, vanilla and milk in a blender.
Drizzle icing over apple fritters and enjoy!
