Forget the harsh chemicals of artificial air fresheners, candles and store bought potpourri and try out this winter simmer pot instead! If you are moving towards non-toxic living in the new year, this is the perfect start. This winter simmer pot freshens up your home and creates a delicious aroma without the use of any chemicals.
Servings: 1
1 pot
1 cutting board
1 knife
- 1 orange
- 1 cup cranberries
- 1 package rosemary
- 3 cinnamon sticks
Gather your ingredients. Chop pear and orange.
Fill pot 3/4 the way with water, bring to a boil and then add in ingredients. Turn down to a simmer. Add extra water every 30-45 minutes!
PRO TIPS:
Keep an eye on the water level! As the pot simmers, the water evaporates. To maintain the simmer and prevent burning, top up the water as needed, usually every 30-45 minutes.
Make sure to turn your stove off if you leave your home or when you go to sleep!
Save your simmer pot ingredients to use the next day by draining them and storing them in the fridge.
