DIY Edible Arrangement

Ditch the traditional flower arrangements and fruit salads this year and create a stunning (and delicious) DIY edible arrangement instead! Who needs a store bought bouquet when you can create a work of art made entirely of fresh fruit? Edible fruit bouquets are all the rage for Valentine's Day, but they're also a perfect sweet treat for any occasion!

Equipment

  • 1 clear pitcher
  • 1 package skewers
  • 1 package toothpicks
  • assorted flower cookie cutters
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 knife
  • 1 small bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 watermelon
  • 1 pineapple
  • 1 kiwi
  • 1 cantaloupe
  • 1 honeydew
  • 1 bag green grapes
  • 1 carton blueberries
  • 1 carton strawberries
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Gather your ingredients.
  • Make your chocolate covered strawberries first by dipping each strawberry in melted chocolate and putting them in the fridge until hardened.
  • Cut each fruit into approximately 1 inch slices.
  • Use the flower cookie cutters to cut out a variety of flower shapes and centers.
  • Fill the glass pitcher with green grapes.
  • Assemble your fruit flowers by attaching the centers of the flowers to the flower with a toothpick.
  • Poke each flower with long bamboo skewer and add grapes, blueberries or a mixture to make the "stem".
  • Place all flower skewers in the glass pitcher, add strawberries, chocolate covered strawberries and fruit flowers.
