HOW TO MAKE A SUNNY SIDE UP EGG:
Making a perfect sunny side up egg is all about gentle heat and patience. Use medium-low heat to heat your pan. This is key to evenly cooking the whites without burning them. Put a drizzle of oil in the pan and swirl it to coat the bottom. Crack the egg on a flat surface (like a small plate) first. This helps ensure you don't get any shell fragments in your pan. Then, gently slide the egg from the plate into the hot pan. Resist the urge to touch or move the egg! You want the whites to set around the yolk. This will take about 2-3 minutes, depending on your heat and how runny you like your yolk. The whites should be mostly set, with perhaps a slightly translucent ring around the yolk. If you gently nudge the yolk with your spatula and it jiggles slightly, it's done!
HOW TO CUT THE CARROT:
Cut the round carrot in half. Take one of the halves and cut it again lengthwise into two thin slices.
To make the feet: Begin with a small square and cut two "V" shapes into the bottom to make the feet.
To make the beak: Cut a small triangle.
