Homemade Cinnamon Roll Coffee Syrup

This homemade cinnamon roll coffee syrup is the perfect way to spice up your homemade coffee. There is honestly no need to ever get a coffee from a coffee shop again when you have this syrup in your refrigerator because you can make an insane cinnamon roll latte right at home. This syrup is made with 4 simple ingredients you probably already have in your pantry. It's refined sugar-free and made with better-for-you ingredients. It has much less sugar than the syrups you'll find at Starbucks or another coffee shop.

Ingredients

  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup coconut sugar
  • dash sea salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Combine cinnamon sticks, water, sugar and water in a pot.
  • Bring to a simmer and cook on low-medium for 10 minutes.
  • Add vanilla extract.
  • Let cool and store in an airtight container.

RECIPE TIPS: 
  • Simmer low and slow to avoid burning the syrup.
  • Taste as you go and adjust the flavor to your preference. You can add more cinnamon or sugar if you prefer a sweeter syrup.
