My Journey
Hi, I’m Lauren! I lived most of my life eating anything my heart desired until I was suddenly diagnosed with several food allergies around age 25. I currently manage wheat, dairy, egg, sesame, maple, soy, buckwheat and peanut allergies. As you can imagine, I had to drastically change my diet. I refused to allow my food allergies to get in the way of living a fulfilling life and enjoying delicious food! From this, my passion for allergy-friendly recipe creation was born and I am so excited to share all of my recipes with you!
The journey to my food allergy diagnosis was different than most. I had been experiencing several chronic symptoms for years, which ended up later being diagnosed as a connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS)- otherwise known as the trifecta. I am passionate about using my platforms to spread awareness about these conditions (most doctors I have met have never heard of them) and sharing how I personally am managing them!
MY MISSION
Proving that you can still live a full life with food allergies and chronic illness! My goal is to create recipes that allow those of us with food allergies to still enjoy delicious food and to share lifestyle changes I am making to reduce or eliminate my chronic symptoms!
