These chocolate covered strawberry turkeys are the perfect last minute dessert for Thanksgiving! They are so cute and festive. These are such to impress both the children and adults! With just a few readily available ingredients - fresh strawberries, chocolate, coconut oil, white chocolate, mini marshmallows and pretzel sticks - you can create these adorable turkey-themed treats! If you're looking for a gluten free or dairy free option, simply opt for gluten free pretzels and dairy free chocolate. These chocolate covered strawberry turkeys are not only simple to make but can also be prepared in advance, making them a perfect addition to your Thanksgiving spread! I have been loving seeing these all over social media (I did not think of this idea and I'm not sure who thought of it, but it's absolutely genius)!

Why You'll Love These Chocolate Turkeys

    They are super kid-friendly!

These chocolate covered strawberry turkeys are easy and fun to make.

They are great to make ahead of time or as a last minute dessert.

These chocolate turkeys are a great way to switch it up from the typical pies!

This dessert is easy to make gluten free and dairy free.

    They are super impressive!

These desserts are so cute and festive.

    Equipment Needed

All you need to make these chocolate covered strawberry turkeys are some skewers, a baking sheet, parchment paper and two small bowls.

    Ingredients Needed

Strawberries: Strawberries are the star of the show in this delightful Thanksgiving treat, adding a touch of sweetness, tartness and visual appeal. These vibrant red berries, with their plump, juicy flesh, provide a refreshing contrast to the rich, decadent chocolate coating. I would recommend only using fresh strawberries here. You can cut the stem off the strawberries or leave it on!

Mini Marshmallows: The mini marshmallows act as part of the legs of the turkey, attaching to the pretzel and the strawberry.

Pretzels: For this recipe, you are going to want to get skinny, small rod pretzels to make the legs. If you are gluten free, feel free to use gluten free pretzels.

Chocolate: The chocolate is used to cover these chocolate covered strawberry turkeys. I like to use dark chocolate here. If you are dairy free, use dairy free chocolate!

Coconut Oil: Coconut oil is mixed with the chocolate in this recipe to make the turkeys shiny! It also helps thin chocolate out, making it easier to work with.

White Chocolate: The white chocolate is optional in this recipe. You can dip the end of the turkey legs in it to make the feet.
