These fall-inspired Apple Crisp Bars perfectly capture the flavors of the season! This delicious baked good brings together the comforting warmth of cinnamon flavor, the rich layers and an irresistible crumbly topping. They also have 4 layers of goodness! You are going to love the blend of fresh apples and seasonal ingredients. These bars are finished off with a decadent drizzle of caramel, creating the perfect cozy treat! Since I eat gluten free and dairy free, I used gluten free and dairy free ingredients in these, but they can be made either way and I will include substitutions below. I like to make my recipes as adaptable as possible so everyone can enjoy the fall flavors!

Why You’ll Love These Apple Crisp Bars

    They taste like fall!

These bars are the perfect combination of fresh apple and seasonal flavors.

    They are a crowd-pleaser!

These bars have multiple delicious layers.

    They are insanely delicious!

These are a great recipe to make with the apples you pick at the apple orchard.

    Equipment Needed

All you need for this recipe is an 8×8 baking dish, 3 mixing bowls and a blender.

Ingredients Needed to Make These Apple Crisp Bars

Oat Flour: This can be made quickly by blending oats in a blender or you can purchase it at the store. If you are gluten free you are going to want to look for gluten free certified oats. You can also use all-purpose flour here if you prefer!

Butter: I am dairy free so I used dairy free butter here, but feel free to use regular butter as well!

Sugar: I like to use coconut sugar in my recipes because it has a lower glycemic index, but regular sugar works here too!

Cream Cheese: I used dairy free cream cheese here because I follow a dairy free diet, but feel free to use regular cream cheese. This will be used for the filling.

Vanilla: The vanilla extract gives the filling a delicious warm flavor! If you follow a low histamine diet, look for a vanilla without alcohol.

Liquid Sweetener: I used honey in my recipe but feel free to also use maple syrup or agave.

Apples: I am obsessed with Honeycrisp apples so that’s usually what I use in my recipes but feel free to mix it up with Granny Smith, Gala or any other variety!

Apple Pie Spice: This gives the recipe some added warmth! If you don’t have it on hand, feel free to use cinnamon instead.

Rolled Oats: These are used for the crumble topping! If you are gluten free you will need to make sure you are purchasing gluten free oats.

Oil: Feel free to use any oil here. I typically use coconut oil or olive oil in my baking.

Caramel: Feel free to purchase store bought caramel to make this easy. I love using my homemade dairy free caramel recipe!
