These gluten and dairy free waffles have been one my favorite for years! These waffles make an amazing brunch or breakfast for dinner! They are also perfect to add to a waffle board for your next gathering! They are crispy, delicious and easy to make. I love pairing mine with syrup, honey, fruit and chocolate.

Why You'll Love These Gluten and Dairy Free Waffles

    They're allergy-friendly.

    They are so crispy!

They are perfect to batch make and freeze!

These waffles are amazing for a brunch board.

    Equipment Needed

I highly recommend Dash's mini waffle maker for these delicious waffles! I have linked it here. It is very affordable and this is the cheapest I found it! You will also need a mixing bowl.

    Ingredients Needed

Almond Flour: I used almond flour in these waffles makes them both gluten-free and grain-free! I like to purchase my gluten free flours from Thrive Market because they have great deals! If you order from my link, you get 40% off your first order.

Coconut Flour: Using coconut flour in these mini gluten free dairy free waffles assists with the texture and gives them a delicious flavor!

Tapioca Flour: Tapioca flour is a starch derived from the cassava root. It is a thickening agent, so don't skip it!

Coconut Sugar: This is my personal preference for this recipe, but you can swap it out for a different type of sugar if you would like to!

Psyllium Husk: Psyllium husk is helpful for binding.

Salt: My favorite salt is Redmond's Real Salt and you can order some here and get 15% off with code LESSWITHLAUR!

Baking Powder: It is very important to ensure that your baking powder is labeled gluten-free!

Vanilla: I also love buying my vanilla extract in bulk from Thrive Market (see above for 40% off link). If you have issues with histamine, opting for the alcohol-free version can be helpful.

Plant Milk: You can use any kind of dairy free milk you prefer! I like to use a combination of hazelnut milk and almond milk.

How to Make These Crispy Gluten and Dairy Free Waffles

Plug in mini waffle maker and let it heat up. Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and stir in the wet ingredients. Grease mini waffle maker (I use coconut oil) and pour batter in. Close waffle maker and let cook until crispy!

    Substitutions and Variations

These crispy waffles are gluten free and dairy free. I have not tried any alternate variations of flours, but please let me know if you do!

    Storage

This is one of my favorite recipes to batch make and freeze! I highly recommend freezing these homemade waffles so that you always have them on hand.

    Recipe FAQ

Can you make this recipe nut free?

If you swap out the flours and use a nut free milk, you could potentially make this recipe nut free. I have not tried it though! Please let me know if you do!
