    Ingredients Needed

Ground Meat: I used ground turkey here! I try to use high quality meat for my pup whenever I can. You can use any kind of ground meat in this recipe.

Carrot: I used shredded carrots in this recipe. Carrots are a good source of vitamins and minerals essential for a dog's health.

Pumpkin: Pumpkin is loaded with fiber, especially soluble fiber. It also contains beneficial enzymes and is packed with vitamins. Make sure the pumpkin puree you are using is only pumpkin and contains no other ingredients.

Bone Broth: Bone broth is a natural source of glucosamine, chondroitin, and hyaluronic acid. Bone broth can help soothe an upset stomach and promote healthy digestion. Please ensure you are using bone broth specifically made for dogs, as human bone broth is not fit for a dog's consumption!

Chia Seeds: Chia seeds are a great source of ALA omega-3 fatty acids. They are also high in fiber and packed with antioxidants.

Parsley: Parsley packs a punch of vitamins A, C, and K, all important for your dog's health. It can also help freshen your dog's breath.

Turmeric: Curcumin is a well-known anti-inflammatory compound. It can also help soothe a dog's stomach.

    How to Use A Dehydrator

Using a dehydrator is a simple process that allows you to preserve fruits, vegetables and even meats. Arrange the pieces in a single layer on your dehydrator trays, leaving space for air circulation. Consult your dehydrator's manual for recommended temperatures and drying times for specific foods. Once you've set the temperature and timer, let your dehydrator work its magic! Check on your food occasionally and rotate the trays for even drying. Your food is finished when it's completely dry and brittle with no remaining moisture.

    Storage

Let the treats come to room temperature. Store these dehydrated treats in airtight containers. They will be kept freshest in the refrigerator but you can also store them at room temperature. These treats will last up to 3 months.

    Variations

Meat: I used ground turkey in this recipe but you can use any type of meat. Try out different meats like ground beef or ground chicken! You can also use organ meat to help your dog get essential vitamins.

Fruit and Vegetables: Try adding in sweet potatoes, zucchini, blueberries or other dog-safe fruits and vegetables. The options are truly endless here!

Add Ins: Other potential add ins for these dehydrated dog treats include peanut butter, coconut oil, cheese, egg or different flavors of bone broth. Please make sure you are using bone broth specifically made for dogs.

Size: Feel free to make small treats for your dog or the batter can be divided into larger pieces! This may impact the amount of time the batter will need to be dehydrated.

Grains: Cooked grains like oatmeal or brown rice can be incorporated into dehydrator treats for added texture and fiber.

Shape: Get creative with the shape of your treats! You can use cookie cutters to cut out fun shapes, or simply break dehydrated meat into bite-sized pieces.
