This 4 ingredient Lemon Garlic Dressing comes together in 5 minutes and is simple and delicious drizzled over any seasonal salad or veggies. I love using a homemade vinaigrette instead of store bought dressings. This quick dressing is perfect for meal prep, is totally dairy free and is made with fresh, high quality ingredients. I'm obsessed with its vibrant flavor, as well as the burst of citrus flavor from the freshly squeezed lemon.

My lemon garlic dressing can be mixed together with very little effort and you'll instantly be able to add tanginess and richness to a simple salad or bowl of side veggies. It's perfect to throw together last minute for a lunch or dinner bowl or sheet pan meal. Slightly sweet and bright, it's versatile enough to enjoy year-round; from a salad bowl to winter root veggies. This dressing is delicious paired with a Harvest Bowl, Summer Roasted Vegetables or a Fall Sheet Pan Dinner!

    Why You'll Love This Recipe

My Lemon Garlic Dressing is insanely simple. Just four pantry staples, whisked together in seconds, no fuss or fancy equipment needed.

I love that it's naturally dairy and gluten free. Pure flavor without cream, cheese or hidden additives.

This easy dressing has a lot of flavor! Lemon adds freshness, garlic brings depth and olive oil ties it all together in silky balance.

Drizzle it onto salads, roasted veggies, grilled chicken, fish or even grain bowls. It's a really versatile little dressing and an easy way to add flavor to other ingredients.

This dressing is packed with vitamin C from lemon and heart-healthy compounds from garlic and olive oil.

If you're looking for free-from recipes, this is a great staple to have at home. It has no preservatives, thickeners or mystery ingredients; just real food!

This is a crowd-pleaser! Everyone loves this drizzled over veggies and salads. You can even blend a little into the base of sauces.

    Equipment Needed

I used a blender, a cutting board and a knife to make this recipe. You can also make this is a food processor if you don't have a blender.

Roasted Brussels sprouts, apples, pecans, sweet potatoes, and bacon salad in a white bowl.

    Ingredients Needed

Extra virgin olive oil: If you have a really good quality bottle of EVOO in your cupboard, this is your sign and time to use it!

Lemons: Use juicy lemons to squeeze freshly pressed lemon juice for the most delicious and bright flavor.

Honey: To balance the acidity from the lemon juice. You can also use maple syrup if you like which will be slightly less sweet.

Garlic: Fresh garlic gives the best aromatic savoryness to this Lemon Garlic Dressing.

    Step By Step Instructions

Step 1: Grab your ingredients and equipment.

Step 2: Prep the ingredients by slicing the lemon in half and peeling the fresh garlic.

Step 3: Blend the ingredient together in high speed blender. Enjoy your Lemon Garlic Dressing.

    Storage

This lemon garlic dressing recipe is best refrigerated in a glass bottle for up to a week. You can absolutely freeze it as well. I like to freeze mine for up to two months.

    Variations

Whisk in some finely chopped basil, dill, parsley or cilantro. Fresh herbs work really well in this Lemon Garlic Dressing.

Creamy tahini: Add in 1-2 teaspoons of tahini and yogurt or avocado for a creamier version of this recipe.

Make it extra spicy with a little chili flakes, some hot sauce or cayenne.

For a nuttier version, add in some toasted sesame oil or a spoonful of almond butter.

Sometimes I'll add a little wholegrain mustard for extra tang. It also thickens it up a bit. This version is really good over veggies, chicken or fish.

You can easily swap part of the lemon juice for orange, lime or grapefruit. Each will have its own unique flavor. Make your dressing seasonal by using different citrus.

For a more umami taste, add in soy sauce, coconut aminos or nutritional yeast. You can also roast garlic whole, squeeze it out and then blends those into the lemon garlic dressing.
