    Equipment Needed

All you need to make this air fryer caramelized banana is a bowl and an air fryer. I love my Instant Pot Duo Crisp because it is both an air fryer and an instant pot!

    Ingredients Needed

Banana: The base of this delicious dessert is banana.

Sugar: I used coconut sugar here because it has a lower glycemic index.

Cinnamon: Cinnamon adds depth and warmth to this recipe!

Vanilla: I love the flavor that the vanilla provides in this air fryer caramelized banana recipe.

Oil: I used avocado oil here but feel free to use coconut oil or another type of oil!

    Step-By-Step Instructions

    Step 1: Gather your ingredients.

Step 2: Cut banana either in half or in slices.

Step 3: Combine sugar, cinnamon and vanilla in a bowl. Brush oil on banana and then cover with cinnamon sugar mixture.

Step 4: Place in air fryer and air fry at 375°F for 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

    Storage

This air fryer caramelized banana can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days in an airtight container. When you are ready to consume, simply heat it up or air fry it again.

    Toppings

The topping options for caramelized bananas are endless. I added cinnamon, maple syrup, vanilla ice cream and pecans to mine. Try out these other delicious ideas as well:

A drizzle of chocolate sauce is a delicious touch.

Add a drizzle of nut butter on top.

    How to Serve

These air fryer caramelized bananas also make a delicious topping!

Pancakes, waffles, or French toast: This is a classic pairing, with the warm bananas and gooey caramel sauce drizzled over light and fluffy pancakes or waffles.

Oatmeal: Caramelized bananas add a delicious sweetness and decadent topping to your morning oatmeal. Top it with nuts, seeds and a drizzle of honey for a complete breakfast.

Yogurt: A healthier option, yogurt provides a cool and creamy base for the warm bananas. It's a perfect snack or light breakfast.

Granola: Combine caramelized bananas with granola and yogurt for a satisfying and crunchy breakfast parfait.

Scones or muffins: Add a slice of caramelized banana to your scone or muffin batter for a delicious twist.
