    Why You'll Love These Pancakes

They are super cute and festive!

These reindeer pancakes are super kid-friendly.

These are perfect for breakfast and brunch!

They make the best Christmas breakfast or breakfast for dinner.

They are super easy to make gluten free and dairy free, if needed.

These pancakes are customizable and you can get creative with them!

They are very easy to assemble, even a kid could do it and it's a great way to get them involved!

    Equipment Needed

All you need to make these reindeer pancakes is a mixing bowl, whisk and two pans. Using two pans makes this quicker because you can cook the pancakes and bacon at the same time, but you can also just use one pan if you prefer. My favorite pans are Caraway pans because they are non-toxic and gorgeous. If you use my link you get 10% off your order!

    Ingredients Needed

Pancake Mix: I used pancake mix to make these reindeer pancakes quick and easy! You can also make homemade pancakes though if you prefer. I used gluten free protein pancakes to add some extra protein into this recipe! If you are using a mix, you will also need any ingredients that the mix calls for. Mine called for one egg, oil and water.

Bacon: I used turkey bacon here, but feel free to use regular bacon as well! My favorite place to get my meat and fish is Butcher Box because they have organic and high-quality options and it gets delivered right to your door!

Blueberries: I used blueberries for the reindeer's eyes. Blueberries are packed with antioxidants and so delicious!

Raspberries: I used a raspberry for the reindeer's nose. This is a great way to get in some extra fruit. It's also a great way to help your kids have fun with fruit!

    Step-By-Step Instructions

Step 4: While the pancakes are cooking, place bacon in an oiled pan and cook until crispy, flipping halfway through.

Step 5: Cut both pieces of bacon in half and place on two separate plates along with two smaller pancakes. This will be the antlers and ears.

Step 6: Place a larger pancake in the middle of each plate, overlapping with the edges of the bacon and the two smaller pancakes.

    Variations

Try using different pancake flavors here! The options are endless. I love using blueberry, chocolate chip or cinnamon pancakes.

If you don't like blueberries, you can use another option. Try out mini marshmallows. candy eyes, raisins, or chocolate chips.

Swap the raspberries for cranberries or red candies!

Pair these reindeer pancakes with s'mores hot chocolate for an extra sweet treat!

    Toppings

I topped these pancakes with shredded coconut to create a "snow effect" and maple syrup. Feel free to get creative with your toppings here! Some ideas are: additional fruit, honey, whipped cream, crushed candy canes or nut butter!

    Recipe FAQ

How do I make my pancakes fluffy?

Be sure not to over mix the batter. This can make pancakes tough.

    Is maple syrup gluten free?

Pure maple syrup is naturally gluten free, however some syrups contain added flavorings that could contain gluten. Make sure your syrup says it is gluten free on the label.
