      Why You'll Love This Dessert

These reindeer rice krispie treats are super cute!

      They are kid-friendly.

These desserts are so fun to make!

They are perfect for a holiday party dessert spread or your child's lunch!

These can easily be made gluten free and dairy free.

They are so delicious! Who doesn't love rice krispie treats?

These are a fun holiday-themed twist on the classic dessert.

      Equipment Needed

All you need to make these reindeer rice krispies is an 8x8 baking dish.

      Ingredients Needed

Rice Cereal: I used chocolate rice cereal to switch things up, but feel free to use regular. I made sure mine was gluten free because I am gluten free!

Marshmallows: Marshmallows act as the binder in this recipe!

Butter: If you are dairy free, use dairy free butter here.

Candy Eyes: Feel free to use store bought candy eyes or make your own!

Red Candies: I used red Giggles here because they are allergy-friendly. You can use any red candies you desire!

Pretzels: I used gluten free pretzels here because I am gluten free. Make sure to purchase the traditional pretzel shape.

Chocolate: I used melted dark chocolate to adhere the candies and the pretzels to the rice krispie treat. I used dairy free chocolate because I am dairy free.

      Step-By-Step Instructions

Step 1: Gather your ingredients and line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper.

      Variations

There are so many ways to make these reindeer rice krispie treats. I have been making them since 2017 and have made them so many different ways!

Use regular rice cereal instead of chocolate!

Try using melted chocolate to draw the antlers instead of using pretzels.

Use frosting instead of chocolate to stick the candies onto the rice krispie treats.

Swap out the marshmallows for nut butter.

Put these reindeer rice krispie treats on a stick!

      How to Make These Allergy-Friendly

I made these reindeer rice krispie treats allergy-friendly by using gluten free rice cereal and pretzels. If you are dairy free and/or vegan, make sure to use vegan butter and chocolate. Be sure to also use allergy-friendly marshmallows and candy. Make sure to double-check that everything you are using is safe for your allergies!
