It is the perfect combination of fluffy and moist pound cake infused with the flavor of your favorite sugar cookies! Topped with vanilla frosting and festive sprinkles, this treat is not only delicious but also pretty! The best part about it is that it’s made in one bowl. This treat is super easy to whip up and only takes about 10 minutes to throw together. Then you just pop it in the oven and it will be ready in time for your holiday party! What Is Sugar Cookie Bread

Sugar Cookie Bread is a delightful treat that combines the flavors and textures of classic sugar cookies with the ease of baking a loaf of bread. It’s packed with the sweet and buttery flavor of sugar cookies, often enhanced with hints of almond or vanilla extract (or in this case both)! It has a soft, moist and cake-like texture, similar to pound cake, but with a lighter touch. Essentially, Sugar Cookie Bread is a delicious and convenient way to enjoy the comforting flavors of sugar cookies in a slightly different format.

Why You’ll Love This Sugar Cookie Loaf

This recipe is super simple to make, even for beginner bakers!

It is topped with a delicious vanilla frosting and festive sprinkles.

This dessert is easy to make gluten free, dairy free and vegan.

    It is kid-friendly and fun!

This treat is a unique cross between sugar cookies and pound cake.

You only need one bowl to make this recipe!

This dessert is perfect to bring to Christmas or your holiday party.

    Equipment Needed

All you need to make this sugar cookie bread is a loaf pan, parchment paper, mixing bowl, mixing spoon and measuring cups and spoons.

    Ingredients Needed

Milk: I used dairy free milk because I’m dairy free! Feel free to use regular milk, if needed.

Lemon: Lemon juice helps to make this loaf more tender and adds brightness to this recipe!

Vanilla Extract: Vanilla extract provides a warm and comforting flavor in this sugar cookie bread.

Almond Extract: Almond extract provides a subtle but noticeable nutty flavor that complements the sweetness of the sugar cookies.

Honey: Honey adds sweetness to this sugar cookie bread!

Applesauce: Applesauce adds sweetness to this recipe and also acts as a binder.

Gluten Free Flour: I used gluten free flour in this recipe because I am gluten free. My favorite flour to use is Bob’s Red Mill Paleo Flour.

Baking Soda: Baking soda reacts with the acidic ingredients in the recipe (like lemon juice) to produce carbon dioxide gas. This gas forms tiny bubbles within the batter, causing it to rise and resulting in a light and airy loaf.

Baking Powder: Baking powder helps keep this loaf light and airy.

Salt: Salt enhances the sweetness of the sugar cookies, creating a more balanced and nuanced flavor profile.

Frosting: I topped this sugar cookie bread with delicious vanilla frosting. I used store bought frosting but you can also use homemade frosting!

Sprinkles: I used sprinkles to make this festive for the holidays! You can also use rainbow sprinkles and make this for a birthday party or gathering!

    Step By Step Instructions

Step 1: Gather your ingredients and preheat the oven to 350°F.

Step 2: Combine wet ingredients in a bowl.

Step 3: Stir in dry ingredients (optional to add sprinkles to the batter).

Step 4: Pour batter into loaf pan lined with parchment paper.

Step 5: Bake for 50-55 minutes or until loaf is lightly browned on top.

Step 6: Let cool and spread vanilla frosting on top. Add sprinkles, slice and enjoy!

    Storage

Store this sugar cookie bread in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.

    Variations

Sprinkles: I used festive holiday sprinkles, but you can use any color sprinkles you like! You can make this sugar cookie bread for a birthday or another type of celebration as well!

Frosting: I used store bought vanilla frosting in this recipe. Feel free to use homemade frosting or another flavor of frosting.

Flavor: I used vanilla extract and almond extract to give this sugar cookie bread a delicious flavor. Feel free to experiment with flavors. Try adding lemon extract or cinnamon, nutmeg or ginger!

Sweetener: I used honey in this recipe, but you could also use maple syrup or sugar!

Milk: I used dairy free milk because I am dairy free, but this recipe would also work with regular milk!

    How to Serve

Serve this sugar cookie loaf at your next Christmas party, holiday celebration, make it for New Year’s Eve or serve it at a birthday party!

    Pairing Suggestions:

    • Beverages: Enjoy your Sugar Cookie Loaf with a cup of coffee, tea, milk or a glass of cold milk.
