    Why You’ll Love This Recipe

    It’s so easy to make!

You can throw this chia parfait together super quickly.

This recipe calls for just a few nutrient-dense ingredients.

It is super versatile- you can eat it for breakfast, snack or a dessert!

This chia parfait is nutrient-dense and packed with protein, fiber and healthy fats.

It is gluten free, dairy free, vegan, paleo and nut free.

    This recipe is also kid-friendly!

    What Are Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are tiny, black or white seeds from a flowering plant related to mint, native to Central America. They’re considered a superfood because they’re packed with nutrients despite their size.

    Equipment Needed

All you need to make this chia parfait is multiple containers, a whisk and measuring cups and spoons.

    Ingredients Needed

Chia Seeds: Chia seeds are the star of this recipe and packed with nutrients!

Milk: I used coconut milk here because I find that it makes thick and creamy chia pudding. You can use any kind of milk you like though!

Vanilla: Vanilla extract adds delicious flavor to this chia pudding!

Protein Powder: I used vanilla protein powder in this recipe to add some extra protein.

Fruit: I used blueberries for this chia parfait.

Yogurt: Dairy free yogurt is a great option if you are dairy free! Feel free to use regular or Greek yogurt if you are not dairy free.

    Step-By-Step Instructions

    Step 1: Gather your ingredients.

Step 2: Combine chia seeds, milk, vanilla and protein powder in a container. Whisk thoroughly.

Step 3: Let sit for a few hours or overnight.

Step 4: Once chia pudding has thickened, layer it in a jar with fruit and yogurt. Enjoy!

    Storage

These chia parfaits can be stored in the refrigerator for 4-5 days in an airtight container. These are great for meal prep!

    Variations

Chia Seeds: You can use either black chia seeds or white chia seeds for this recipe. It doesn’t make a difference. If you like the look of white chia seeds in your parfait, then go for it!

Milk: I used coconut milk in my chia parfait, but feel free to use any kind of milk you love! You can use almond milk or regular milk as well, but coconut milk yields a thick and creamy chia pudding.

Flavors: I added vanilla extract into my chia pudding, but feel free to experiment with different flavors. Try adding mint extract or almond extract for an alternative flavor profile.

Protein Powder: I used vanilla protein powder in my chia parfait. Try out different flavors of protein powder to create different flavor variations.

Mix-Ins: Try adding mix-ins like fruit, chocolate chips or cinnamon!

Toppings: Add some additional toppings to this chia parfait. Try out granola, chopped nuts, coconut flakes, honey, chocolate chips or additional fruit.

Fruit: I used blueberries on my chia parfait, but the options are endless! Add strawberries, peaches, kiwi, apple or any fruit you love to your parfait!

Yogurt: Feel free to use any yogurt you love here and experiment with different flavors!

    How to Serve

This chia parfait recipe is amazing for meal prep! Prep them on Sunday and have a delicious breakfast for the week.

Alternatively, fancy chia parfaits are so fun for a breakfast or brunch. Create a chia pudding parfait bar by making a big batch of chia pudding and having guests layer them with yogurt, fruit and toppings!
