    What Are Fruit Pizzas?

Fruit pizzas are a delightful and versatile dessert, essentially a sweet, flat “pizza” where the traditional tomato sauce and cheese are replaced with creamy yogurt and colorful fruits. The base is typically cookie-like, providing a sturdy and sweet foundation. A smooth layer of yogurt or a similar spread is then applied, acting as the “sauce” that holds the fruit in place. Finally, the “toppings” are where the magic happens: an array of fresh, sliced fruits like berries, kiwi and citrus are artfully arranged, creating visually appealing patterns!

    Why You’ll Love This Treat

These Easter breakfast fruit pizzas are so easy to make!

The crust comes together in just a few minutes.

This recipe uses wholesome and minimal ingredients.

These breakfast fruit pizzas are so pretty!

This recipe is easily customizable and you can use any fruit you love.

It’s a great activity to do with your kids.

This treat is easily made gluten free and dairy free!

    Equipment Needed

All you need to make this Easter breakfast pizza is a bowl, spoon, measuring cups and spoons, baking sheet, cutting board and knife.

    Ingredients Needed

Oats: Oats make up the bulk of the base of this breakfast pizza crust.

Bananas: Bananas add sweetness and texture to this delicious crust.

Honey: Honey adds additional sweetness to the crust!

Vanilla Extract: Vanilla adds some additional warmth to this recipe!

Baking Soda: Baking soda plays a crucial role as a leavening agent.

Nut or Seed Butter: Nut or seed butter helps to hold this breakfast pizza crust together.

Protein Powder: Protein powder is totally optional, but it adds some protein to this recipe.

Yogurt: I used dairy free yogurt because I am dairy free, but feel free to use Greek yogurt for some extra protein!

Fruit: Assorted fruit is used to decorate these breakfast pizzas! I used kiwi, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and clementines. Get creative!

    Step By Step Instructions

Step 1: Gather your ingredients and preheat oven to 350°F.

Step 2: Combine crust ingredients in a bowl.

Step 3: Scoop crust onto baking sheet and form into egg shapes.

Step 4: Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Step 5: While baking, chop up fruit.

Step 6: Once the crusts are cooled, spread yogurt on top.

Step 7: Decorate with fruit and enjoy!

    Storage

These Easter breakfast fruit pizzas are best when served immediately! If you are looking to make them ahead of time, I recommend storing the crusts separately and then decorating them when you are ready to consume or serve them!

    Variations

Flavor: Add some cinnamon to the crust for extra flavor!

Yogurt: Get creative with yogurt flavors. Plain vanilla yogurt can be swapped for strawberry, blueberry or even chocolate yogurt.

Fruit: I used blueberries, kiwi, clementines, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. Feel free to use bananas, peaches, grapes and other fruits you love!

Toppings: Feel free to try out additional toppings like chocolate chips, coconut flakes or a nut butter drizzle!

Size: Serve these as minis or make one large Easter egg crust and cut it into slices!

    How To Serve

Here are some ideas for serving these fun treats:

    • Individual Plates:
      • Place each mini fruit pizza on its own small plate or dessert dish. This allows guests to easily take one and appreciate the individual design.
    • Tiered Serving Tray:
      • Arrange the fruit pizzas on a tiered serving tray to create a visually stunning centerpiece. This adds height and elegance to your table.
    • Individual Paper Liners:
      • Place each fruit pizza in its own individual paper cupcake liner, or tulip style baking cup. This makes for very easy handling.
    • Brunch Buffet:
      • Include the fruit pizzas as part of a brunch buffet, alongside other breakfast items like quiche, pastries and yogurt parfaits.
    • Dessert Table:
      • Feature them on a dessert table with other Easter treats like cookies, cupcakes and chocolate eggs.
