Equipment Needed
All you need for this recipe is an air fryer and a bowl to marinate the steak. If you are making the cauliflower mash, you will need a blender or an immersion blender. There is also the option to mash the cauliflower by hand. You will also need a pot and a steamer to cook the cauliflower.
Ingredients Needed
Steak: I used skirt steak for this! I like to make sure I am purchasing high quality meat whenever possible.
Marinade: I love using coconut aminos for marinade because it is a great allergy-friendly option! Feel free to use teriyaki sauce for the full effect! If you are gluten-free, make sure you are opting for a gluten-free teriyaki sauce.
Green Onions: These are a great addition to the cauliflower mash and add tons of flavor!
Garlic Powder: This adds so much flavor to the recipe! Garlic also has so many health benefits.
Cauliflower: Feel free to use fresh or frozen cauliflower here. Using frozen cauliflower can be a quicker option!
Olive Oil: I always make sure to use organic and high quality olive oil whenever possible.
Salt: My favorite salt is Redmond Real Salt because it has great ingredients and there are no unnecessary fillers. If you use my discount code LESSWITHLAUR you can get 15% off their website.
How to Make Teriyaki Steak Bites
First, slice the steak into bite-sized pieces. Marinate the steak in teriyaki or coconut aminos, 1 tsp garlic powder and salt. Place bites in the air fryer at 400°F for 9 minutes. We prefer our steak more on the well-done side so feel free to cook it for a shorter amount of time if you prefer. While the steak is cooking, steam the cauliflower. Combine the cauliflower with olive oil, 1 tsp garlic powder and salt. Sprinkle with green onion and serve with steak bites. Enjoy!
Storage
Feel free to store this meal in the fridge for 3-4 days after making.
