    Origin of Rice Pudding

Pinpointing the exact origin of rice pudding is a bit of a culinary mystery, as similar dishes have been enjoyed throughout history and across various cultures. Nearly every culture has a similar dish, but we do know that it has roots in China and India.

    Equipment Needed

All you need to make this dairy free rice pudding is a ramekin or multiple ramekins if you are going to double or triple the recipe!

    Ingredients Needed

Rice: The key here is to use pre-cooked rice. This is a great way to use up leftover rice!

Coconut Milk: Coconut milk makes this dairy free rice pudding super creamy. You could substitute it for another milk, but it will not be as creamy.

Spices: I used cinnamon, allspice and ginger here to create a warm and cozy flavor!

Vanilla: I love the flavor that vanilla gives this rice pudding!

Sugar: I used coconut sugar here because it has a lower glycemic index and I love the flavor.

Salt: My favorite salt is Redmond's Real Salt because it is high-quality and made with zero fillers. If you use my discount code LESSWITHLAUR you can get 15% off Redmond's website.
