July 11, 2025, Updated November 10, 2025 by Lauren Less Leave a Comment

Here's a bank of my favorite quick and simple Dairy Free Breakfast Ideas for you to try. From warm and savory, to chilled and refreshing; let's go!

Nothing beats an easy start to the day. I find that planning for the day ahead, either with a prepped recipe or an overnight dairy free recipe, really helps me feel good throughout the day.

I've collected my top dairy free breakfast ideas for you to try - most of them require very few dishes, are nutrient dense and can be made in advance.

If you loved this recipe round up, you might want to check out my top summertime dessert recipes, too.

    Strawberry Cloud Smoothie

I love this dreamy, 4 ingredient Strawberry Cloud Smoothie, especially in the summertime! I make it with coconut yogurt, dairy free milk and frozen strawberries for the perfect creamy consistency. You can use your favorite protein powder, just check the ingredients to make sure it's free from dairy and is silky smooth.

I'm in love with this (easy) floating cloud design - how cute?! It's such a pretty dairy free smoothie and a fun way to start my day. Plus, each refreshing sip is packed with protein and probiotics. Aside from being one of my go-to dairy free breakfast ideas, it also makes a great snack. Kids love it, too!

    Turkey Breakfast Hash

When I'm looking for something savory and delicious, this Turkey Breakfast Hash is it! Totally dairy free and protein packed, it's great for a Sunday breakfast or when I have a little extra time in the kitchen. The crisp potatoes and veggies add to the heartiness of this recipe.

It's also a one pan (yup - hardly any dishes) recipe that also makes a great meal prep idea. Want to make a brunch everyone will love? Make this and add in your favorite herbs and veggies - adapt it to your taste, basically.

    Mexican Breakfast Skillet

This one pan Mexican Breakfast Skillet is loaded with sauteed potatoes, bell peppers, black beans, chicken sausage, salsa and fried eggs. If you're looking for dairy free breakfast ideas that will hit those Mexican food cravings, this is a great one.

I love to top it with some creamy guac or diced avocado and jalapenos. It's protein rich and savory, plus it's totally gluten free, too. It works as a brunch option or for weekly meal prep!

    Turkey Bacon Breakfast Sandwich

My Turkey Bacon Breakfast Sandwich recipe is a great make ahead sandwich. Think layers of light and fluffy eggs, crispy turkey bacon and gooey melted cheese all on a toasted English muffin - incredible, right?

I love this at home or as a quick grab and go breakfast when you have a busy morning ahead. It also makes easy freezer meal prep.

    Breakfast Burrito Bowls

Some days, I wake up craving these Breakfast Burrito Bowls. They're loaded with colorful, crunchy ingredients like peppers, crispy bacon and fresh salsa. Not forgetting the creamy scrambled egg.

You can customize these bowls, depending on what you have in your fridge. Just remember to keep everything dairy free!

    Chia and Flaxseed Pudding

Nothing packs omegas, protein and fiber more than my Chia and Flaxseed Pudding! You'll need 4 ingredients and a few minutes to whip up this nutrient dense and easy gluten, dairy free breakfast recipe.

I love opening the fridge to find these little puddings waiting for me. They make an easy breakfast or snack and go well with a topping of fresh berries, toasted coconut or nuts. Great with nut butter and granola, too!

    Blueberry Vanilla High Protein Smoothie

Want a fresh and bright Blueberry Protein Smoothie that's low histamine, too? This one is packed with frozen blueberries, mango and dairy free milk and has added chia and hemp seeds. I love for dairy free breakfast ideas to keep your feeling full! It's an easy way to start your day with 38g of protein in the bag.

This smoothie also helps balance blood sugar! I love the fragrant mango, vanilla, berry ingredients with the luscious and creamy nut butter in there. It's so good it can pass for an easy dessert, too.

    Gluten Free Honey Cashew Granola

Crunchy, wholesome and delicious - Gluten Free Honey Cashew Granola is so good, you'll eat it straight out of the jar. Easy to prep in bulk (the recipe is super scalable), cashews, pumpkin seeds, coconut and cranberries are the perfect combination!

I love swapping out store bought basics for homemade recipes because I can control what goes into the recipe and, subsequently, into my body. Use this as a snack, a topping or with dairy free yogurt or milk.

Crispy Gluten Free and Vegan Waffles

Gluten Free and Vegan Waffles are such fun to make and a real brunchtime dream, you guys. I really love how customizable these dairy free waffles are. Made with almond, coconut, and tapioca flours, they give you perfectly crisp and tasty waffles without any of the allergens!

Make them ahead, pop them in the freezer and enjoy them with your favorite sweet or savory toppings. They can go into the freezer or onto brunch boards for an anytime treat.

Air Fryer Crispy Sausage Hash Browns

Crispy on the outside and SO tender in the middle, my Air Fryer Crispy Sausage Hash Browns combine shredded potatoes, savory sausage and garlicky, onion flavors I can't get enough of!

They're super fun to make, cook easily in the air fryer and are great you have a crowd coming over and need some dairy free breakfast ideas. I love how dippable they are and that they freeze really well - great for make ahead, right?
