Why You'll Love This Summer Sausage Cobb Salad

    It's easy to make!

This Cobb salad is so pretty!

    It's gluten-free and dairy-free.

This salad is easy to throw together.

It is great for parties or BBQs!

    Equipment Needed

All you need for this recipe is a large bowl, pot (to cook the hard boiled eggs) and pan (to cook the sausage).

Ingredients Needed to Make This Summer Sausage Cobb Salad

Lettuce: You can use any type of lettuce you choose here! I like to use chopped romaine or butterhead lettuce.

Tomatoes: I like to use Roma tomatoes here, but you can also use cherry tomatoes!

Avocado: Make sure to add the avocado shortly before serving so it does not turn brown!

Sausage: I highly recommend looking for sausage with very simple ingredients and no fillers.

Dairy-Free Feta: Because cheese makes everything better!

Red Onion: I like to thinly slice the red onion!

Egg: The hard boiled eggs can be prepped in advance. If you are not able to have egg, feel free to add extra sausage.

Dairy-Free Ranch: Find a dairy-free ranch with simple ingredients, or make your own! Substitutions and Variations

If you are not able to tolerate egg, feel free to add extra sausage for more protein!

    Storage

I recommend making this salad and serving it immediately. If you have leftovers you can definitely store them in the fridge for a few days. Make sure to keep the dressing separate until you are ready to serve it.

    Recipe FAQ

What is the best kind of greens to use in this recipe?

I like to use romaine or butterhead lettuce! You can use any kind you like.

Can I meal prep this recipe?

Yes! I would recommend prepping all ingredients ahead of time aside from the avocado and cutting it when you are ready to consume. Also, keep the dressing separate until you are ready to eat it!
