This recipe takes less than an hour to make!

    Equipment Needed

All you need to make these gluten free dumplings is a pan, bowl, baking sheet, plate and spoon.

    Ingredients Needed

Oil: I like to use avocado oil to oil the pan to make these pan fried gluten free dumplings.

Meat: I used ground chicken in these dumplings! You can use any meat you love.

Vegetables: I used purple cabbage, green onion, garlic and ginger in the filling of these dumplings.

Sauce: I also used coconut amino inside of the filling to add some extra flavor.

Salt: My favorite is Redmond’s Real Salt because it is high-quality and made with zero fillers. If you use my discount code LESSWITHLAUR you can get 15% off Redmond’s website.

    Step By Step Instructions

    Step 1: Gather your ingredients.

    Step 2: Chop your vegetables.

Step 3: Add onions to an oiled pan and cook over medium heat until lightly browned.

Step 4: Add in ground chicken and salt and cook until lightly browned.

Step 5: Pour in purple cabbage, ginger, garlic and coconut aminos.

Step 6: Remove pan from heat and let cool for a few minutes.

Step 7: Add water to a baking sheet and dip each rice paper wrapper in water before rolling it.

Step 8: Place rice paper wrapper on a plate, add 3 spoonfuls of filling and wrap by folding each piece over and folding in the ends. Press down to stick.

Step 9: Double wrap each dumpling to make them extra crispy.

Step 10: Add dumplings to an oiled pan and cook for 5 minutes per side, or until browned. Serve with dipping sauce or over a salad and enjoy!

    Storage

Store these gluten free dumplings in an airtight container for 3-5 days. You can also freeze these dumplings so that you have them on hand at any time!

    Variations

Meat: I used ground chicken in these gluten free dumplings. You can also use ground beef, ground turkey or pork. These dumplings can also be made vegetarian.

Vegetables: I added onion, green onion, garlic, ginger and cabbage to these dumplings. Feel free to add extra vegetables. Bean sprouts, mushrooms, bell peppers, edamame and zucchini are all great options!

Sauce: I added coconut aminos to the filling of these dumplings to give them a delicious flavor. You could also add soy sauce or another sauce you love.

    How to Serve

Here’s a breakdown of how to serve them, focusing on presentation, flavor pairings and dipping sauces:

    • Serve your dumplings with dipping sauce. Try out soy sauce, ginger sauce, chili oil, peanut sauce or rice vinegar and sesame oil.
    • Arrangement:
      • Arrange the dumplings neatly on a plate or in a shallow bowl.
      • If you’ve pan-fried them, showcase the golden-brown, crispy sides.
      • For steamed dumplings, arrange them in a way that shows their soft, delicate texture.
    • Garnishes:
      • Sprinkle chopped scallions or cilantro over the dumplings for a fresh touch.
      • Add a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds for added flavor and texture.
      • A drizzle of chili oil or a few slices of fresh chili can add visual appeal and a spicy kick.
    • Individual Serving:
      • If serving at a dinner party, provide individual dipping sauce bowls for each guest.
    • Warm:
      • Dumplings are best served warm, especially pan-fried ones.
      • If you’ve steamed them, keep them warm until serving.
