Equipment Needed
All you need to make this gluten free trail mix is a measuring cup (or measure with your heart) and a large jar or bowl.
Ingredients Needed
Nuts: I used cashews in this gluten free trail mix because they are one of my favorite nuts! Feel free to swap them out for a different nut. Some other options could be: macadamia nuts, hazelnuts, peanuts or almonds. If you need this mix to be nut free or you have a nut allergy, feel free to omit the nuts as well!
Dried Fruit: I used dried cranberries and dried mango in this mix to create a sweet and salty treat! Feel free to swap in your favorite dried fruit. Feel free to also omit them if you would like to reduce the sugar content in this trail mix.
Pumpkin Seeds: Pumpkin seeds are packed with nutrients and offer some plant-based protein! They are rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats and also contain fiber. Pumpkin seeds are a natural source of minerals like zinc, magnesium, iron, and phosphorus, important for various bodily functions. They are the perfect snack for a boost of energy! I used Go Raw brand because they are gluten free, vegan and also sprouted, which makes them easier to digest and the nutrients are better absorbed.
Mini Chocolate Chips: I added dairy free mini chocolate chips in my gluten free trail mix. I love the sweetness and flavor that they provide. Feel free to omit them if you would like this trail mix to be lower sugar. I used Enjoy Life brand because they are gluten free and dairy free.
Sunflower Seeds: Sunflower seeds are packed with essential nutrients to support overall health. They offer plant-based protein and fiber. They are also a natural source of vitamin E, B vitamins, magnesium, manganese, copper, and selenium, all crucial for various bodily functions.
