I’m in love with making this homemade Macadamia Nut Butter right now. This simple and silky nut butter blends up in no more than 10 minutes. It’s the perfect nut butter for baking so you can fold it into cakes, cookies and brownies. It’s also a delicious and smooth sandwich filler or thickener for DIY salad dressings and dips. Feel like stuffed dates? This is the perfect rich and easy filling. I’ve turned to smothering fruit in this decadent, velvety nut butter made with only basic ingredients. Nothing beats making your own affordable ingredients and condiments at home and this one is so easy. Plus, it’s grain free, dairy free, gluten free and paleo! All the things and SO easy. Macadamia Nut Benefits

I love including wonderful macadamia nuts in my diet because they are so much more than just tasty. These nuts are packed with heart healthy fats and other goodies like vitamin E, fiber, magensium and manganese. They’re really easy to pack into my diet, either as a nut butter, a roasted snack or a salad or breakfast bowl topper.

    Why You’ll Love This Recipe

I love the super rich and buttery texture and flavor of Macadamia Nut Butter. Gosh, its good. Macadamia nuts blend up into one of the smoothest, most indulgent nut butters you’ve ever tasted.

This macadamia nut butter is an excellent option for low carb, keto, or high-fat lifestyles.

Macadamias are naturally low in histamine, making this a great nut butter choice if you’re allergy-sensitive or following a low histamine diet like me.

This recipe is as pure as it gets; just nuts and a little salt. No fillers, stabilizers or added junk and I’m here for it!

Nuts like macadamias can be pricey and you’ll find making a nut butter like from scratch is a budget friendly idea.

It’s incredibly versatile too. Spread it, swirl it, spoon it — you’ll want to use this creamy nut butter on everything, so consider making a double batch!

Macadamia Nut Butter is loaded with nourishing benefits too, from fiber to magnesium and other “feel better” nutrients.

    Equipment Needed

You’ll only need a food processor. It’s so easy and a mess-free recipe.

    Ingredients Needed

Macadamia nuts: These are one of the easiest nuts to make nut butter with because they blend up in minutes, thanks to their high fat content.

Sea salt: I love adding a little salt to this recipe because it brings out all the lovely natural nut flavors so well.

Vanilla extract: This is optional but the vanilla flavors this Macadamia Nut Butter beautifully. I recommend keeping it in for sure.

    Step By Step Instructions

Step 1: Gather together your ingredients.

Step 2: Pop everything into a food processor. Blend them together until you get the best Macadamia Nut Butter.

    Storage

Keep your Macadiamia Nut Butter stored in a glass jar or container if you can. Store it at room temperature for about a week or in the refrigerator for closer to 2 or 3 weeks.

I like to stir up my nut butters before using them, as the nut oil tends to seperate out.

You can also freeze it for about 3 months. Leave it to thaw overnight it in the fridge.

    Variations

Play around with flavors and add ins like cocoa powder (unsweetened) for a chocolate version, cinnamon or cardamon for a spiced Macadamia Nut Butter.

You can try a roasted version if you have time for an extra step. Roast the nuts and salt, cool them to room temperature before blending them up. This just adds more richness.

    How To Serve

Oh my goodness, you’re going to put it on everything.

    • Add a drizzle to your favorite dairy free ice cream.
    • Stir it into your Protein Hot Chocolate to make a thicker version.
    • Spoon it over yogurt or fresh fruit for extra fiber and boost of good fats.
    • Serve it with apples or another fruit!

    Recipe FAQ

Is Macadamia Nut Butter better than peanut butter?

That really depends on what you’re looking for. Macdamia nut butter has a richer texture and is packed with good for your heart ingredients versus peanut butter. It also has a milder taste which makes it more versatile!

What can you use macadamia nut butter for?

You can use it as a toast spread, a smoothie ingredient or as a topper for oatmeal, desserts and pancakes. You can also use it as part of your dressings, sauces or have it straight from the jar as a snack.

How can I make this macadamia nut butter sweeter?

Blend in a little honey, maple or date syrup to sweeten up this butter. You could also use stevia or monk fruit. Start slow with a little teaspoon of sweetner and taste as you go.

What does macadamia nut butter taste like?

It tastes rich, creamy and buttery. Ths nut butter recipe has a mild flavor and silky smooth.

Is is cheaper to make your own nut butter?

Yes! Especially when it comes to pricey and premium nuts like macadamias. Store bought versions can come with a high price tag (and sneaky fillers and preservatives) whereas your homemade version is free from added ingredients.
