Equipment Needed
I needed a few pans and pots and a cutting board and knife for this Salmon Cobb Salad recipe!
Ingredients Needed
Romaine lettuce: Crisp and fresh, romaine provides a sturdy base for this salad. I like to use lettuce leaves that hold up to all the other hearty ingredients.
Red onion: Adds a slightly bitter, sharp flavor that contrasts beautifully with the creamy avocado and tender salmon. Slice thinly for a milder bite.
Frozen corn: Go ahead and char the corn for extra flavor and crunch.
Eggs: Slice or quarter for easy layering.
Bacon: Bacon brings a satisfying crunch and salty depth to the salad. My favorite brands to use are ButcherBox or Applegate.
Salmon filets: Protein-packed and tender, marinated with honey and garlic powder. It's so delicious you guys! Grill, pan-sear or bake your salmon.
Avocado: Creamy and buttery, avocado balances the crisp vegetables and adds heart-healthy fats.
Cherry tomatoes: Juicy and colorful, these add freshness, sweetness and brighten up the salad.
Honey: You can also use maple syrup.
Garlic powder: Just a little goes a long way.
Avocado oil: I love using it for cooking salmon and corn because it has a mild flavor and high smoke point.
Fresh dill: I like to sprinkle it generously.
Dressing of your choice: My Dairy Free Ranch Dressing works beautifully here. Lemon vinaigrette, honey mustard or blue cheese are also excellent options.
Step By Step Instructions
Step 1: Gather all your ingredients and have them ready to go!

Step 2: Marinate the salmon with honey, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Make sure it's even.
Step 3: Heat a skillet with a little avocado oil and cook the salmon for 3-5 minutes per side, until tender and cooked through.
Step 4: While the salmon is cooking, prepare the bacon and corn in separate skillets until they are nicely browned. At the same time, make the hard-boiled eggs.
Step 5: Chop the red onion, avocado, and cherry tomatoes into bite-sized pieces.

Step 6: Slice the cooked salmon and crumble the bacon into smaller pieces.
Step 7: Assemble your salad by layering the romaine lettuce in a bowl, then arranging rows of red onion, corn, hard-boiled eggs, bacon, salmon, avocado and cherry tomatoes.

Step 8: Finish with a sprinkle of fresh dill and drizzle your dressing of choice over the top. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Storage
Store cooked salmon, bacon, hard-boiled eggs and chopped vegetables in separate airtight containers to keep each ingredient fresh. Keep the romaine lettuce in its own container or resealable bag.
All salad components can be refrigerated for up to 3 days. I don't recommend storing an already-dressed salad for more than a day.
Keep dressing separate until serving to prevent soggy greens.
Variations
Change up the protein: Mix it up by using grilled chicken, shrimp or even turkey bacon instead of salmon.
Try different dressings like lemon vinaigrette or honey mustard.
Add roasted or grilled veggies like bell peppers, zucchini or asparagus.
Sprinkle crumbled cheese on top (dairy free if needed)!
Add toasted nuts, seeds, or croutons to give the salad some crunch!
Experiment with fresh basil, parsley or chives alongside the dill.
How To Serve

- Serve immediately for maximum freshness and crunch!
- It's perfect for an easy lunch, a light dinner or a summer or fall meal with friends.
- Try adding a couple of seeds, croutons or some citrus to bulk it up a bit.
