They are the perfect last minute dessert.

This dessert is festive and patriotic.

    It's a kid-friendly recipe!

This recipe can easily be made gluten free, dairy free or acommodate other allergies or restrictions.

It comes together in less than 30 minutes!

    Equipment Needed

All you need to make these 4th of July Brownies is a mixing bowl, mixing spoon, mini muffin tin, measuring cups and spoons, a spoon, a knife and a cutting board.

    Ingredients Needed

Brownie Mix: I used gluten free brownie mix because I am gluten free. Use your favorite brownie mix here! Make sure you get all of the ingredients you need to make it as well. This will differ based on the mix that you choose.

Whipped Cream: I used coconut whipped cream in this recipe because I am dairy free. You can use regular whipped cream as well if you are not!

Fruit: I used fresh strawberries and blueberries to make these brownies red and blue!

    Step-By-Step Instructions

    Step 1: Gather your ingredients.

Step 2: Make brownie mix according to instructions on box.

Step 3: Add brownie batter to greased mini muffin tin and bake for 15-17 minutes or until done.

Step 4: While brownies are baking, slice strawberries.

Step 5: Once brownies have cooled, top with whipped cream and fruit. Enjoy!

    Storage

Store these 4th of July brownies in the refrigerator for 4-5 days in an airtight container. These brownies can also be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.

    Variations

Brownies: I used gluten free brownie mix because I am gluten free. Feel free to use any brownie mix that you love!

Mix Ins: You can also add mix ins to your brownies! Try adding chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, chopped nuts, candy, nut butter, jam or chopped dates.

Fruit: I used strawberries and blueberries for this recipe but feel free to swap them out for another red or blue fruit. You could also try raspberries, cherries or pomegranate seeds.

Whipped Cream: I used coconut whipped cream in this recipe because I am dairy free. If you are not, feel free to use any whipped cream.

Additional Toppings: Adding extra toppings to these brownies can also be fun! Try adding chopped nuts, sprinkles or hot fudge.

    How to Serve

Here are some ways to serve your festive 4th of July brownies:

As is: These brownies are delicious on their own, so you can simply arrange them on a platter for easy grabbing.

With festive flair: Add a touch of festivity by placing the brownies on a red, white, and blue checkered tablecloth or serving them on a platter decorated with star-shaped confetti.

Brownie bar: Set up a brownie bar with a variety of toppings like red, white, and blue sprinkles, chopped strawberries and blueberries, marshmallows, whipped cream and chocolate chips. Let your guests personalize their own brownies!

Brownie sundaes: For a decadent twist, serve the brownies warm with scoops of vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of white chocolate sauce and a sprinkle of red and blue candy pieces.

Make it a project: Get the kids involved by letting them help you decorate the brownies!
