Whether you’re searching for a healthier alternative to traditional pumpkin pie ice cream or a cozy dessert to enjoy during the holidays, this high-protein, easy-to-make recipe is sure to satisfy your cravings. Graham cracker mix ins take this creami to the next level! If you love pumpkin, you will also love my pumpkin fries, gluten free pumpkin oatmeal cookies and frosted pumpkin bread!

Why I Love My Ninja Creami

I purchased a Ninja Creami this year while it was on sale and I am obsessed! It makes delicious dairy free treats that are so creamy. It is a compact machine and it is so fun to use!

    Why You’ll Love This Dessert

    It’s easy to make!

This Ninja Creami recipe is perfect for fall, Thanksgiving or Halloween!

    This flavor is so delicious.

It’s easy to make gluten free and dairy free.

It is a more wholesome alternative to pumpkin pie or pumpkin ice cream.

    This recipe incorporates protein!

It is so creamy and decadent.

    Equipment Needed

All you need to make this recipe is a Ninja Creami and a blender or a whisk.

    Ingredients Needed

Pumpkin Puree: Pumpkin puree serves as the foundation for the pumpkin pie flavor in this recipe. It provides the natural sweetness, earthy taste, and vibrant orange color characteristic of pumpkin.

Coconut Milk: Coconut milk adds a creamy texture and a touch of tropical flavor to the ice cream. It provides a rich and indulgent base for the pumpkin pie flavor. Coconut milk also helps to create a smooth and velvety texture.

Vanilla Protein Powder: Protein powder plays a crucial role in this recipe by adding a significant amount of protein to the ice cream. This not only makes it a more filling and satisfying dessert but also contributes to a healthier overall nutritional profile. Protein powder also helps to thicken the ice cream mixture, ensuring a creamy and dense texture. My favorite protein powder is Truvani because it has great ingredients!

Pumpkin Spice: Pumpkin spice is a blend of spices commonly used in pumpkin-flavored desserts. It typically includes cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg. In this recipe, pumpkin spice adds a warm, aromatic, and slightly spicy flavor to the ice cream.

Vanilla Extract: Vanilla extract enhances the overall flavor of the ice cream by providing a warm and comforting aroma and taste.

Coconut Sugar: Coconut sugar is used in this recipe as a natural sweetener alternative to refined white sugar. It provides a subtle caramel flavor and a lower glycemic index than traditional sugar, making it a healthier option.

Graham Crackers: Graham crackers add crunch and texture to this recipe. I actually used Simple Mills Sweet Thins here!

    Step-By-Step Instructions

    Step 1: Gather your ingredients.

Step 2: Combine all ingredients except graham crackers in Creami container and whisk. Freeze until hardened.

Step 3: Process on ice cream and then respin.

Step 4: Add graham crackers and process on mix in. Top with additional graham cracker crumbs and enjoy!

    Storage

Store this pumpkin Ninja Creami in the freezer for up to 2 weeks for best results!

    Variations

Milk: I used coconut milk here, but feel free to try another milk. Coconut milk will make it have a creamier texture though!

Protein Powder: I used vanilla protein powder, but you can also use unflavored or pumpkin spice.

Mix Ins: I used graham crackers for mix ins, but feel free to try adding in cookies, chocolate or another fun treat!

Sugar: I used coconut sugar in this recipe, but regular sugar also works!

Graham Crackers: I used Simple Mills Sweet Thins, but graham crackers also work well!

    Recipe FAQ

Do I need to respin the ice cream if I put it back into the freezer?

No, you do not need to resin the ice cream!

How does the Ninja Creami differ from a traditional ice cream maker or regular blender?

The Ninja Creami is an all-in-one machine that automatically churns the ice cream mixture!

Can I use a different type of milk?

Feel free to try another type of milk, but the ice cream might not be as creamy.

How long can I store this in the freezer?

This recipe can be stored in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

Is pumpkin pie ice cream vegan?

This pumpkin pie Ninja Creami is vegan!

Do you have to wait 24 hours for the Ninja Creami?

You are supposed to wait 24 hours, but sometimes I can’t wait and I keep checking on it and spin it once it looks frozen!

How many times can you respin the Ninja Creami?

I would not recommend spinning it more than twice!
