The Best Potatoes For Gluten-Free Recipes
- Russet Potatoes: These are the best for baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, soups and French fries. They are ideal for your classic gluten-free comfort food recipes.
- Yukon Gold Potatoes: These potatoes are creamy and great for roasting. They work well for mashed potatoes, sheet pan dinners, scalloped potatoes and they have a naturally buttery flavor.
- Red Potatoes: Red potatoes are great for roasting, potato salads and breakfast skillets because they are lower starch and hold their shape well.
- Fingerling Potatoes: This variation is great for side dishes and sheet pans. They are also visually appealing and perfect as a gluten-free side dish.
- Sweet Potatoes: These are a more nutrient-dense option and they're also sweeter! Sweet potatoes can typically be subbed into any potato recipe.
