Make my 5 minute, super easy and luscious Watermelon Sorbet this summer. This refreshing sorbet shows off one of my favorite fruits! It’s a one ingredient recipe made with, you guessed it, only watermelon! Got watermelon at home? This is your sign to make a DIY sorbet. Whip up this pretty paleo, dairy free and vegan sorbet with frozen watermelon for the perfect chilled snack after a pool day or day out in the sun. Every slushy spoonful tastes like real watermelon and is satisfying and hydrating. I love that it’s a no ice cream maker required recipe. The texture is creamy and never icy. If you’re trying to stick to pure, wholesome dessert and treat recipes with only one ingredient, you’ve got to try this. It’s also a lower sugar version of most dessert recipes, too. Why You’ll Love This Recipe

Watermelon Sorbet is the perfect summer make ahead dessert in that you can freeze the fruit the night before and all you need to do is blend it up!

Unlike store bought or restaurant sorbets, its totally sugar free (added sugar).

Make it with one ingredient and in 2 steps. Honestly, nothing can be simpler.

I love that the watermelon sorbet ingredients are dietary inclusive: dairy free, vegan, no added sugar, gluten free!

Once the fruit is frozen, this watermelon sorbet blender recipe is ready in minutes.

It’s a creamy watermelon sorbet free from icy shards or chunks.

Pure and wholesome with no unnecessary ingredients.

    Equipment

You’ll need a knife and chopping board to prepare the watermelon and then a high speed food processor to blend up the sorbet!

    Ingredients Needed

You literally only need watermelon. Go for the most perfect, ripe and bright pink watermelon so that it’s as naturally as sweet as possible and lusciously juicy.

    Step By Step Instructions

Step 1: Chop the watermelon into cubes and pop them into freezer friendly bags. Freeze until frozen solid.

Step 2: Add your frozen watermelon chunks into a food processor and blend until the mixture becomes a smooth sorbet.

    Storage

I keep my leftover Watermelon Sorbet in the freezer in an ice cream container. As soon as I want to have it, I just add it to the food processor again for round two!

It will keep for around 2 months in the freezer.

    Variations

Add fresh herbs like mint, basil or lemon thyme. Watermelon mint sorbet is so delicious.

Blend in a squeeze of fresh lime juice and some coconut cream for a more tropical vibe. You might want to freeze the lime juice and coconut cream in trays first so that you don’t dilute the frozen watermelon.

You can mix in other frozen summer fruits – I like keep it pretty so make sure the fruits you add are bright pink or purple. Combine it with frozen dragon fruit or berries.

    How To Serve

My Watermelon Sorbet is the perfect anytime treat or dessert. Here’s how I love to eat it:

    • With whipped dairy free cream, a dollop of coconut cream or some coconut milk.
    • With a sprig of mint!
    • By the pool or after some time in the sun.
    • As a free from added sugar dessert or treat.

How can I make this recipe sweeter?

Add in some honey, maple syrup or date syrup. Agave works too. Start slowly with a teaspoon.
